At Grinkle Lodge, situated in the uppermost corner of the beautiful North
Yorkshire Moors National Park, Tim and Janette pay a great deal of attention to
detail. It is a warm, friendly and peaceful house full of character and style
where guests' comfort and enjoyment is the top priority.
On chilly evenings a roaring fire burns in the visitors' sitting room where
aperitifs and after dinner drinks may be savoured. In summer, guests can enjoy
the large secluded garden. The view across the wooded valley and towards the
coast is stunning; Pheasants and peacocks roam everywhere while Tim’s
free-range chickens potter about the garden and provide the new laid eggs for
breakfast.
The house has been completely renovated and the decor and furniture throughout
has been carefully chosen to be in harmony with its age and character.
Janette's hand-painted murals are a unique and delightful feature.
Grinkle Lodge is perfect for a 'battery recharging' break, offering comfortable
en-suite bedrooms with all the usual amenities but also featuring thoughtful
extra touches including fresh flowers and home made biscuits. The house is a
completely 'no-smoking' zone, and although specially trained and certificated assistance dogs are welcome no other pets are permitted inside the house. The property is not a suitable venue for children under 12.
Generous breakfasts and imaginative, freshly cooked evening meals are on offer,
together with home-made bread and preserves. The best quality fresh ingredients
are always used, and seasonal home grown vegetables.
